The Australasian Allied Health Benchmarking Consortium (AAHBC) was convened in 1997 to develop a standardised method of recording allied health practitioner’s activity. The aims of the network are to:
- Maintain a network of collaborative teaching hospitals
- Develop and maintain a standardised approach to benchmarking
- Develop a model which links benchmarks, inputs, process and eventually outcomes
- Establish validated benchmarks for allied health business
